The purpose for Ljugarn Society (Föreningen Ljugarn) is to act and care for the common interests of its members in their role as Ljugarn-residents and to act for the common ease and a sound development, especially with consideration of the value of nature, in the village. 

Entitled to membership are 
- owners of property within Ljugarn village
- other person, that have demonstrated interest for the village as described above. 

The organisation owns Ljugarns beach sauna and keep it open for sauna baths throughout the year. Also owned and cared for is the old village wind mill. The organisation is a member of Gotlands Homestead Organisation (Hembygdsförbund).

Chairman is Jan-Folke Fernholm.
