CONSTRUCTION
A lot
of construction work is ongoing in Ljugarn. Many new houses have been built
during the winter season. Some existing houses has been
enlarged.

BUILT AROUND THE MILL HILL
At
the edge of the wood at the Mill Hill road (Kvarnbacksvägen).

ENLARGEMENTS CLOSE TO THE BEACH
The former
red cottage at the aspen grove close to the resturant 'The Brown
Door' (Bruna Dörren).

The enriched
hotel Badpensionatet have been converted to a private house. The old guest house
along the "Path of Love" (Kärleksstigen) is complemented with kitchen to enable future
hiring out.

BUILT AT BOFRIDEVÄGEN
The
old fields have been parceled out into plots. Two of these have now been
built.

THE ENTRANCE IN FRONT OF KONSUM CLOSED
The stairs to the Konsum store
towards the Main road (Storvägen) have been removed. Safer paths will now instead
lead the customers to and from the store. Earlier, the customers and their children came directly onto the road in a risky way
with the lively summer traffic.

FINALLY...
...
some curiousity. A stamp, posted in Ljugarn year 1857,
was sold this winter on a net-auction for 4750 SEK.
It can
maybe pay off to search in ones drawers after old letters
from Ljugarn!
